Updated new Bluetooth ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) cards. Your D-iDT Bluetooth Driver Detection Card protects you against key theft, cloning, and unauthorised keyless entry (such as Relay Attack).
The S5 tracking device is the upgraded version of the CAT 5 Thatcham tracker and features an advanced in-built battery back up system. This means that your S5 Tracker will still remain operating even if your vehicle’s power supply is removed.
Your S5 tracking device has an additional option to add a Remote Immobilisation feature. Remote immobilisation allows the control room to immobilise your vehicle in the event of a theft.
PLEASE NOTE: the immobilisation system is not a standard requirement in order for you to receive your S5 completion certificate. it is just an additional security feature that you can opt for. You will also be issued with a CAT 5 completion certificate.
All SmarTrack devices are water and dustproof and are tested to IP rating 67.

If your vehicle is moved without the ignition being used, the Secure Control Centre will contact you to confirm the vehicle’s safety.
All SmarTrack tracking devices have their own in-built battery backup. Which is activated if the vehicle battery is disconnected or the main power supply to the tracking device is removed. If the battery on the vehicle is disconnected, this will trigger an alert through the Global Telemetrics Secure Control Centre.
As well as working with all local and national police forces, Global Telemetrics use independent repatriation investigators around the world to help recover vehicles. These teams have extensive local knowledge and can assist in the recovery of our customers’ vehicles.

Automatic Driver Recognition System
All Smartrack S5 Thatcham approved Trackers come with ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) as standard. This particular version uses a credit card-sized driver tag. This means that you can keep it with you in your wallet or pocket with the minimal fuss or extra effort.
ADR is an incredibly effective system offering protection against key theft, key cloning and keyless entry/theft.
As an authorised driver of your vehicle, you will have an ‘ADR Proximity Fob’. You keep this with you whenever you use your vehicle. Your ADR system automatically recognises your card when you enter your vehicle. You do not need to touch it against a touchpad, or deactivate anything. Just get in your car and drive!
If someone tries to enter and start your vehicle without the ADR card, an alert is triggered immediately in the 24/7 control centre- even if the thief has stolen your keys!

Subscriptions made simple
After your Trackershop engineer has installed and commissioned your vehicle tracking device, you will be contacted by the Smartrack Global Telemetrics control room to set up your subscription.
Your insurance provider may use the terms ADR tracker or ADR system in their proviso. ADR stands for Automatic Driver Recognition and is the main feature of this S5 tracking device. Therefore this S5 tracker will be more than suitable for what your insurance provider is stipulating.
Many people initially assume that their ADR system immobilises their vehicle if they do not have their driver card. This is not the case, and you can still driver your vehicle if you do not have your card. An instant alert will be raised in the control room, and they will immediately make contact with you to confirm the status of the vehicle. If you WOULD like an immobilisation feature, then you can select this from the dropdown above when purchasing.
After your engineer has installed your tracking device you will be contacted by the Smartrack Global Telemetrics control room. They will set up your subscription, then forward your completion certificate and app login details. This takes just a few minutes.
If your vehicle is moved without the ADR Card present, the Control Centre will contact you to confirm the status of your vehicle. If your vehicle has been stolen, you will need to report this to the police immediately to obtain a crime reference number. From here you can call the Control Room on 0808 1684 999 from the UK or if you are abroad +44 (0) 1530 275 920. They will track your vehicle, guiding the responding police unit to the location. They will also deploy a recovery team.

The standard S5 vehicle tracker does not feature immobilisation. However, you can opt for the additional immobilisation feature in the dropdown above. Alternatively, we have an S5 Plus category for S5 Trackers with immobilisation.
Your ADR system cards are fully rechargeable and should last several months on a single charge. You are provided with the charger for your cards.

Any modifications made to a vehicle or tuning performed on a vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit (“ECU”) may invalidate (i) the insurance policy for the vehicle or (ii) the terms of a hire purchase contract or personal contract purchase which applies to the vehicle or (iii) the manufacturer’s warranty for the vehicle All customers are responsible for ensuring they seek the appropriate approvals from any third parties required to undertake any modifications or ECU tuning.

Factory-installed Diesel Particulate Filters (“DPF”) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (“EGR”) systems are designed to limit harmful vehicle emissions. When these systems get blocked or obstructed they can reduce the airflow to your vehicle, causing reduced engine function or in some cases engine failure. If you request that we remove these systems (including any associated ECU reprogramming) then by doing so you acknowledge that removal of DPF or EGR systems is illegal for vehicles on roads and public highways in the United Kingdom. A vehicle without a DPF or an EGR system will fail its MOT and you may incur legal consequences for using a vehicle on the road without these parts fitted, including fines, points on your driver’s licence or potentially jail time.
Removal of certain functions and features of a vehicle, including but not limited to DPF, EGR, lambda sensors, catalytic converters, AdBlue and vehicle fault codes are subject to local laws and regulations. We advise that all customers ensure they are aware with laws and regulations applicable to on-road vehicles in the UK before requesting any systems removal work.
